Aztec Labs has relaunched its self-custodial zk.money wallet on the Aztec Network, giving Ethereum users another way to make private stablecoin payments. The wallet is designed so that transactions carried out on the Aztec Network are hidden from general view, enabling users to transact with privacy while keeping control of their funds.

CoinDesk and Decrypt both describe the same core change: zk.money returns after a multi-year break. CoinDesk adds that the system continues to keep deposits from Ethereum visible, while payments made on the Aztec Network are concealed. Decrypt characterizes this as a privacy boost, noting that the wallet uses “readable tags” in its approach to private payments. Together, the reports frame the relaunch as a renewed availability of a privacy-oriented payment tool rather than a new privacy protocol.

The outlets’ main emphasis differs in wording—one focuses on the return after three years and the visible-versus-hidden distinction, while the other highlights the relaunch on Aztec Network and the wallet’s self-custodial nature and tagging approach.
