He characterizes the EF’s approach as “longevity over breadth,” saying the organization will “sell less ETH” rather than maintaining a wider scope of activity.
Both outlets report that Buterin frames the EF as “one node, with a defined purpose,” rather than acting as the center of the wider Ethereum ecosystem. CoinDesk further notes that Buterin’s influence within the EF is expected to decrease as the board expands. The Block adds that the EF intends to focus exclusively on Ethereum’s “CROPS” properties.
