Reality show contestant Shehzad Poonawalla tells fellow contestant Priyanka Chahar Choudhary she is a “gold digger,” triggering an emotional reaction from Priyanka on the set of Rise and Fall 2. The exchange is reported to become a flashpoint during the show’s ongoing debates.
Multiple outlets link the incident to a broader dispute on the show, including earlier tensions involving Shehzad and Siwet Tomar following discussions connected to actor Swara Bhasker. Times of India reports that Swara Bhasker comments on how hurtful Shehzad’s remarks are, and highlights Priyanka’s feelings as she discusses her motivations and responsibilities outside the show.
NDTV’s reports focus on the controversy around Shehzad’s remarks and note that related altercations occur around the same episode context. While coverage differs in emphasis—one foregrounding Priyanka’s emotional response and Swara’s reaction, the other focusing on the controversy and subsequent conflict points—the underlying incident centers on Shehzad’s “gold digger” accusation and the fallout among contestants.
