Ubisoft is reorganizing parts of its development structure, expanding the remit of Swedish studio Massive Entertainment. Known for Tom Clancy’s The Division and currently working on Star Wars Outlaws, Massive is being positioned as a major internal “global” label responsible for additional franchises.

According to Ubisoft’s announcements reported by multiple outlets, Massive now takes on coordination for games in the Splinter Cell and Ghost Recon series, with development spread across teams in different locations. Ubisoft also states that Massive is working on a new original game called March of Giants.

While each outlet frames the change slightly differently—some emphasize Massive becoming a broader “global label,” others describe it as the studio taking control of additional brands—there is broad agreement on the core points: Ubisoft is widening Massive’s oversight, adding multiple Tom Clancy-related franchises to its portfolio, and introducing a new, original title under the same studio umbrella.
