A producer behind the film “Hanuman Ansh” says the planned sequel, “Hanuman Ansh 2,” is not expected to be made on a much higher budget than the original. The remarks come amid questions from media about whether the sequel would be produced with a budget in the ₹15–₹20 crore range.
In its reporting, NDTV quotes producer Anupriya explaining that the first film was made for under ₹2 crore, rather than the higher figures being discussed publicly. Times of India similarly attributes to her the position that a substantially increased budget is unlikely. She adds that simply spending more does not guarantee better quality, and that higher spending could encourage unnecessary reliance on visual effects or AI even if the story does not call for it.
Across outlets, the shared points are that the sequel’s budget is not expected to jump dramatically, and that the producer frames the discussion around quality and appropriate production choices. Both also indicate that plans for the sequel are still in an early or preliminary stage, according to the reporting.
