Apple’s long-rumored smart home hub is expected to debut around mid-October, and multiple reports now point to four available finishes. Leaker “itspdfu” has surfaced code indicating the device could come in Silver, Space Gray, Starlight, and Rose Pink, with setup visuals (including “Photo Face” preview art) reportedly matching the hub’s hardware color.
MacRumors and AppleInsider both cite discovery of these options in system or product code, including references tied to macOS 26.7 release candidate setup assets. Macworld adds that the color list appears within a “Photo Face” feature used during setup, and notes that black is not listed, with Space Gray potentially serving as the closest alternative. MacRumors also references Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who previously described the hub as using Apple’s standard gray aluminum finish but did not mention other colors.
Beyond color, outlets broadly repeat earlier expectations: the hub is rumored to include a roughly 6-inch square display and to be offered in tabletop and wall-mounted versions. Rumors also suggest October 13 as a possible launch date.
