NBC releases the first trailer for its upcoming sitcom “Newlyweds,” featuring real-life married actors Tim Daly and Téa Leoni. The preview follows Jeanie (Leoni) and James’ (Daly) fast-moving romance, beginning with their first encounter at a valet stand and quickly moving toward marriage.
Multiple outlets describe the trailer’s tone as comedic and relationship-focused, with the couple portrayed as rushing into the altar. ComingSoon.net also notes the show stars Jamie Lee Curtis, and that “Newlyweds” is co-created by Curtis and Gail Lerner, who serve as executive producers. The same outlet reports the premiere date as Friday, October 23 at 8:30 p.m. ET on NBC, with streaming availability on Peacock the following day.
Across coverage, the central emphasis is on the sitcom’s premise—Jeanie and James getting married quickly—along with the novelty of Daly and Leoni appearing together as a couple in a new NBC series.
