Roma captain Bryan Cristante is a doubt for the club’s trip to Como due to a knee problem. Reports say the issue comes after earlier back troubles that also affected him by keeping him out of an Italy call-up.
With Cristante’s availability in question, Roma’s midfield options are being considered. Football Italia and Yahoo Sports both report that Marten de Roon is among the possible replacements should Cristante be unable to play. The coverage frames the decision as contingent on his condition leading up to the match.
Overall, the outlets align on the main points: Cristante has a knee-related fitness concern, he previously dealt with back trouble, and de Roon is an available alternative in Roma’s squad. Neither source indicates a definitive outcome for his participation, focusing instead on the late assessment and potential lineup adjustment.
