Police are investigating the death of an American tourist reported missing while walking in Scotland’s Highlands. Multiple reports say a search takes place in and around Glencoe after Timothy Rosser, 60, is reported missing earlier in the week. Police carry out a “trawl” of the area over the weekend as part of the search effort. On Sunday evening, a body is found in the Glencoe area at around 6:50pm, according to the reports. Police Scotland states that the body of a man is recovered, and that formal identification has not yet been completed. The family of Rosser has been informed, the reports add. Officials have not provided further details about the circumstances surrounding the death or whether it is being treated as suspicious. The search and recovery operations conclude with the discovery, while identification and next steps remain pending as authorities continue to confirm the person’s identity and investigate.
