The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has declared the final selection result for Home Guard positions for Enrollment 2025/2026, selecting 41,424 candidates from more than 25 lakh applicants. The selected candidates can check their results through the Board’s website using their registration details, with district-wise selection information being made available.

Reporting details the multi-stage process leading to the final list. All applicants pass through application screening, a written examination held across 74 districts over three days in April 2026 (with marks normalised across shifts and preferential qualifications added as applicable), followed by document verification and physical standard tests. A larger pool of candidates is called for these later stages, and those who qualify proceed to a physical efficiency test conducted in September 2026.

Across sources, the final merit preparation is described as based on normalised written-test scores plus marks for eligible preferential qualifications, then arranged in district-wise merit following reservation rules. After the result is released, selected candidates undergo medical examinations and police verification before training begins later this year, with the Board completing the final selection stage.
