The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) appoints Suleiman Kum as the new Head of its Nigeria National Office (HNO). Vanguard reports the appointment as official, describing Kum as a 56-year-old appointee.
Both outlets say the move involves a change in leadership. Punch reports that Kum succeeds Dr Amos Dangut as head of the Nigeria National Office. The reports focus on the appointment announcement, without detailing the term length or the specific responsibilities attached to the role. The coverage is largely aligned on who is appointed and that he replaces Dangut, with Vanguard providing additional biographical detail on the age of the incoming head.
