TNT Sports chief Luis Silberwasser is set to leave Skydance as David Berson, the CBS Sports president, takes over the combined global sports operations, according to multiple industry outlets.
The change is linked to the closing of the planned Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery merger, which creates a broader umbrella company within Skydance. Several reports say Berson will expand his responsibilities beyond CBS Sports to oversee sports assets that include CBS and TNT Sports under the new combined structure.
While the outlets agree on the leadership transition and the merger’s role in it, they differ slightly in how they describe the timing and scope. CNBC and Variety frame the move as Berson taking over once the combined company completes the acquisition process. Sportico and Deadline similarly describe Berson’s expanded remit across global sports operations, and note that Berson has led CBS Sports since taking over from Sean McManus in 2024.
