A former Sekhukhune FC player, Mokete Shaune Mogaila (29), is convicted of culpable homicide and failing to render assistance following a crash in Tembisa that kills a 9-year-old girl. The child died at the scene after the incident in 2024.

According to reporting, Mogaila also faces related charges connected to the same crash, after he pleads guilty. In addition to the girl’s death, the crash leaves two other people hospitalised for an extended period, with one outlet citing two months of treatment. News24 and IOL describe the case as involving both the death and Mogaila’s conduct after the crash, including the failure to render assistance.
