Lucid reports that its third-quarter electric vehicle deliveries fall year over year as it reduces production. The company delivers 3,806 EVs in Q3 and produces 2,954 vehicles, compared with 4,078 deliveries and production of 3,891 vehicles in the same quarter a year earlier.
Lucid says the output reduction is intentional and tied to inventory management. Sources report that the company is “selling down” unsold vehicles that accumulated earlier in the year under its previous production pace. One outlet characterizes the change as a significant production cut, noting that Q3 marks a period in which deliveries begin to exceed builds for the first time in 2026, reflecting the company’s shift to align supply with demand.
