Hadrian, an Amsterdam-based cybersecurity startup, announces it has raised $40 million to develop and scale its AI-driven offensive security platform. The company says its software uses “agentic” AI to assess a target organization’s internet-facing systems and identify weaknesses that attackers could actually exploit.

Tech.eu, The Next Web, and SiliconANGLE report that the round is co-led by Forgepoint Capital International and Smart Fin (Smart Fin/Smartfin in reporting). Existing investors include HV Capital, Motive Partners, Picus Capital, and Oetker Ventures, and The Next Web says the investment brings Hadrian’s total funding to $65 million. Across the outlets, the main differences are emphasis: SiliconANGLE focuses on the continuous exposure management and agentic penetration testing claims, while The Next Web highlights expansion plans across Europe and the US. Tech.eu concentrates on the funding and the platform’s purpose of tackling AI-driven cyber threats.
