A care home and a charity are charged with corporate manslaughter after two wheelchair users die when a boat capsizes on a reservoir in Devon. The Crown Prosecution Service says Burdon Grange Care Home Limited and South West Lakes Trust face two counts of corporate manslaughter linked to the deaths of Alison Tilsley and Alex Wood.

The incident takes place on Roadford Lake Reservoir in June 2022, and both victims are described by outlets as disabled residents who use wheelchairs. One report also says another person, a woman in her 50s, is seriously injured in the same incident. The three outlets provide consistent details on the organisations charged, the reservoir location, the month and year of the incident, and the overall outcome for those involved, with variation mainly in the additional mention of the seriously injured survivor.
