Tyrese Haliburton returns to the court for the Indiana Pacers’ preseason opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves at Iowa State. Multiple outlets say the game is set for Wednesday evening and marks Haliburton’s first on-court action in nearly 16 months since he tore his Achilles in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals. The Timberwolves also opened their preseason with a win in Milwaukee, setting the stage for the matchup.
Outlets frame the event as both a sports return and a hometown link. One report highlights Haliburton’s return to Iowa State, where he played college basketball, while another focuses on the novelty of the Pacers bringing him back to his former campus for the preseason game. The common thread across sources is that Haliburton’s appearance is the centerpiece, with fans also set to see him face key Timberwolves players including LaMelo Ball and Anthony Edwards as Minnesota follows its early preseason win.
