Chet Hanks confronts comedian Eric André at ComplexCon in Los Angeles over the weekend, triggering a heated exchange that security intervenes in, according to multiple outlets. Hanks later explains that he is addressing André because he believes André “trash[es]” him to the media after Hanks outshined him on André’s own show.
The confrontation follows a years-long dispute that outlets trace to Hanks’ appearance on Season 6 of “The Eric André Show” in 2023, which helped spark public tension between the two. One report focuses on the event itself at the convention, while another emphasizes the broader timeline of the feud. Another outlet adds that after the incident, Hanks posts on Instagram calling out André and describing his reaction during the interaction. The accounts agree on the core sequence—an on-site confrontation at ComplexCon, Hanks’ public explanation afterward, and security stepping in during the exchange.
