U.S. President Donald Trump speaks in Baltimore, Maryland, during an event connected to new defense manufacturing and Navy shipbuilding activity at Sparrows Point. As part of the address, he brings up local NFL players and publicly praises the Baltimore Ravens.
Multiple outlets report that Trump specifically mentions Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. NDTV and Yahoo Sports both describe Jackson as a focus of Trump’s remarks, with one outlet also noting that Jackson is injured at the time of the event. Yahoo Sports further reports that Trump interacts with Ravens players present at the ceremony, including calling out Jackson and Jackson’s mother during the speech.
While the outlets agree on the core details—Trump’s Baltimore-area event and his public praise and mention of Lamar Jackson—they differ slightly on emphasis, with some coverage centering on the defense investment context and others focusing more on Trump’s comments about the Ravens and the players attending the event.
