Anthropic says it is expanding how vetted cybersecurity professionals can test and use its advanced Claude AI models. The company is rolling Project Glasswing into an expanded Cyber Verification Program (CVP) that provides reduced safeguards and fewer automated blocks for work related to cybersecurity, such as vulnerability testing and malware analysis.

Across outlets, Anthropic describes the update as a single three-tier access system. The tiers correspond to the scope of applicants’ work, with verification requirements and controls tailored to what each level permits. SiliconANGLE and SecurityWeek both frame the change as consolidating CVP and Glasswing, while Help Net Security emphasizes that the aim is to loosen Claude’s cyber restrictions for approved defenders.

Anthropic also links the program expansion to findings from Project Glasswing. According to reporting, the company says it verified at least 129,000 software vulnerabilities between April and July 2026, and it characterizes these results as produced through the more permissive access given to approved security teams. Outlets largely agree on the structure of the new program and the purpose of enabling security professionals to perform testing with fewer blocks.
