Singapore Police say a 47-year-old American man will be charged over a series of perfume thefts at Changi Airport. Police report that they are alerted to the first theft on 5 November 2025 after a retail assistant found a box of perfume missing from a shop display. Subsequent thefts are linked to the same suspect using CCTV footage, according to the police release.

The thefts occurred over multiple incidents dating back to November last year and involve about S$1,410 worth of perfume. The man is arrested when he transits through Changi Airport on 25 September. Outlets report that he is expected to be charged on Thursday, with the Singapore Police Force describing the case details in a Wednesday statement. The reporting consistently focuses on the alleged pattern of thefts, the amount involved, and the timing of the arrest.
