The Stormers name a star-studded matchday squad for their United Rugby Championship (URC) derby against the Sharks, recalling seven returning Springbok players. Wilco Louw is listed to make his first start since 2020, and the team runs out in an iconic black throwback kit for the fixture.
Both outlets describe a selection heavy with experienced Springboks, alongside additional emerging talents. The Citizen adds that the matchday group features 11 Springboks, with younger rising names also included, including players such as Norton and Pead. The reporting frames the game as a “blockbuster” derby with the Stormers using the recall of multiple internationals to strengthen their side for the matchup against a familiar rival.
