An IndianOil official is reported to have been stabbed seven times and died while carrying out a petrol pump sealing operation in Maharashtra’s Hingoli district. According to multiple outlets, the official was part of a team attempting to seal a petrol pump when the attack occurred.

Police said the team had gone to seal the outlet in Chondhi, where the pump had been shut for around three months due to technical issues. In the reporting, the circumstances of the stabbing are presented as an alleged assault carried out during the sealing process. NDTV reports that Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri condemns the killing and calls for prompt action.

Within about 24 hours of the incident, authorities reportedly hold five accused. The outlets broadly agree on the timing, location, the number of injuries, and the official’s role in sealing the petrol pump, while differing mainly in additional emphasis such as ministerial reaction and the operational context.
