South Korea stays at No. 32 in the latest FIFA World Rankings following four friendlies played during the Sept. 21–Oct. 6 international window. In matches under interim coach Robert Moreno, the team records two wins, one draw and one loss. FIFA releases the updated ranking after the window ends, which allows teams to play up to four games.
Korea’s run starts with a 3-0 victory over Ecuador on Sept. 24, followed by a 4-1 loss to Uruguay four days later. The team then draws 0-0 with Venezuela on Friday. After that, Korea defeats Uzbekistan 2-0 on Tuesday to close the four-match sequence. The results keep Korea fourth in Asia, behind Japan (No. 17), Iran (No. 23) and Australia (No. 26). One defender, Kim Min-jae, publicly criticizes teammates’ effort after the Venezuela draw. FIFA’s next rankings update comes after the Nov. 9–17 window.
