A woman and a 10-year-old girl are found dead after a car crashes into a dam on Queensland’s Fraser Coast. The vehicle has rolled into the water, and the victims’ bodies are recovered from inside the car.
Outlets report that the pair are not mother and daughter, and they describe the incident as a fatal crash involving an SUV or similar vehicle. The Perth-based and Queensland-focused reports note that investigators have not yet determined the circumstances that led up to the crash. Other outlets focus on the recovery of the bodies from the wreck. No information is provided across the reports about charges, suspected causes, or whether any other people were involved.
