Shreyas Iyer rises three places to a career-high fourth in the ICC T20I batters’ rankings. NDTV reports that this jump follows a strong run during India’s ongoing five-match home T20I series against West Indies, where he starts well.
Wisden likewise states that Iyer reaches his best T20I position after his performances in the West Indies series. The outlets differ only in emphasis: NDTV highlights the current home series start, while Wisden frames the improvement as a result of his West Indies run. Both agree the ranking move places multiple Indian batters near the top, with India having three players inside the top four in the T20I list.
The reports also note broader ranking movement beyond T20I batters. Wisden adds that an Australian player—described as a “Durban hero”—moves up the Test rankings, though the central focus across sources remains Iyer’s ascent in the T20I batting table.
