Toy Story: Retro Roundup (PS5) and Toy Story: Retro Roundup! (Xbox), developed/published by Atari and Digital Eclipse, are presented as retro compilations that revive games from the franchise’s early years. Reviewers describe the packages as toy-themed “museum-like” collections that aim to deliver nostalgia while also offering modern accessibility.
Across outlets, the Xbox version is framed as especially notable because it bundles multiple titles on the platform for the first time, pairing Retro Roundup! with Toy Story 3 Complete Edition. One review highlights that Retro Roundup! includes games that have not previously appeared on Xbox, such as Toy Story 1, Toy Story 2, A Bug’s Life, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, and Toy Story Racer, along with included Game Boy titles. The PS5 review similarly emphasizes nostalgia and “modern-day features,” while noting that not every included game is viewed as uniformly strong. Overall coverage agrees that the collections offer substantial value for fans of the older tie-in games, even if individual games vary.
