Rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh (Hirdesh Singh) is summoned again by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell to appear for questioning on October 16 after he did not respond to earlier summonses. Multiple reports say authorities may initiate steps to issue a Look Out Circular (LOC) if he fails to turn up, following complaints linked to “objectionable” remarks allegedly made during a concert in Delhi. A video clip of the performance went viral on social media, prompting criticism.

Authorities say the case stems from allegations that his comments contained an indecent reference. Singh has previously sought additional time and later issued a video apology, saying the remarks were intended to highlight awareness about unprotected sex and sexually transmitted diseases, though he acknowledged the manner of expression was inappropriate. The reports also note he had not appeared despite repeated calls to appear.

The latest development comes amid prior legal controversy involving his song “Volume 1.” In April, the Delhi High Court directed the Centre to take down URLs of the track from social media and other platforms, describing the content as vulgar, obscene, and derogatory toward women. Separately, the Maharashtra Cyber Cell has also summoned comedians Harsh Gujral and Madhur Virli for questioning in connection with allegedly objectionable remarks made during their performances.
