Google is rolling out a new “Shop devices” option inside the Google Play Store, letting users browse and purchase Google hardware directly from the app. Reports say the feature has started appearing quietly in select regions, including India, and is accessible from the Play Store’s account switcher as a shortcut to the Google Store.
Across outlets, the common thread is that the tab is not limited to Pixel products. In some regions, Samsung devices also appear in the same “Shop devices” menu. One report notes listings for Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Ultra in India, while another says Samsung Galaxy S26 lineup and some Galaxy Watch8 devices show up alongside Pixel phones and Pixel Watches. Other regions may see only Pixel items, and not all locations have received the change yet.
The rollout appears gradual and region-dependent, with Google using the Play Store interface to surface device purchasing options rather than requiring users to navigate to separate storefront pages.
