Prime Video has released a trailer for “The Greatest,” an upcoming scripted series about Muhammad Ali, who is portrayed as Cassius Clay early in his life. Created by Ben Watkins, the show is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on November 4.
Across outlets, the synopsis is consistent: the series follows Ali’s transformation from a young Cassius Clay into a major figure in boxing history. Reports say the program is “authorized,” and positions itself as the first scripted series with official backing focused on Ali’s life. Coverage highlights that it goes beyond fight results to address major defining moments and Ali’s personal relationships, including his roles as father, husband, brother, and son.
Several articles also emphasize production and cast details. The series is executive produced by Lonnie Ali (Ali’s widow), Michael B. Jordan, and Jay Z, and stars Jaalen Best as Cassius Clay/Muhammad Ali, with Dana Gourrier, Amin Joseph, Kai Parham, Michael Ealy, and Giovanni Ribisi listed among the cast. The trailer and official key art accompany the release date.
