South Africa announce changes to their 17-man squad for the second Test against Australia in Gqeberha, with Matthew Breetzke brought into the squad and wicket-keeper-batter Quinton de Kock? (No—sources specifically mention Breetzke, Stubbs, and Rickelton.) Jason Stubbs is dropped for the match.
All three outlets report that Breetzke replaces Stubbs in the squad ahead of the Test at St George’s Park starting on Sunday. In addition, wicket-keeping duties shift to wicket-keeper Temba? (No—sources specifically mention Rickelton taking the gloves.) Aiden Markram? (No—sources specifically mention Rickelton to keep wickets.) Therefore, Rickelton is confirmed to take the gloves for the second Test.
The differing emphasis across outlets is primarily on squad composition: ESPN Cricinfo frames it as Stubbs being dropped and Rickelton retaining wicket-keeping, while The Citizen and News24 highlight the call-up of Breetzke and the resulting wicket-keeping adjustment for the upcoming match.
