Logitech has begun manufacturing locally in India, starting assembly operations at a new facility in Manesar, Haryana. The company says the plant is part of its effort to strengthen its manufacturing footprint in the country and support a faster response to customer demand.

Logitech initially focuses on high-demand workspace products, including webcams and pointing devices such as mice, along with other personal-work solutions. Reports also say some products may be manufactured through an assembly-line model managed by a manufacturing partner, with plans to increase the share of locally sourced components over time. Logitech states it does not expect immediate price changes for products sold in India.

The move builds on Logitech’s existing operations in India, including a Global Capability Center in Chennai that provides operational support for areas such as channel management and marketing, as well as software and hardware development. Outlets also frame the decision in the context of India’s “Make in India” initiative, with Logitech describing the Manesar start as a way to improve operational agility and supply chain resilience as the company expands in the AI-era for its product portfolio.
