The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) says multiple Wikipedia pages about Israel, Hamas and the Oct. 7 attack continue to display biased edits, despite moderation measures and prior bans on specific accounts. The ADL says it identified coordinated editing activity that keeps disputed changes visible after enforcement actions.

In its findings, ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt says safeguards did not sufficiently correct antisemitic or biased content associated with a banned editor. One outlet reports that a large share of the editor’s changes remain live. Another ADL account describes newly identified user activity as controlling the latest revisions on a majority of the pages reviewed.

The outlets’ emphasis differs: one focuses on the persistence of specific edits attributed to a banned account, while the other highlights broader patterns of coordinated influence across multiple Israel-related Wikipedia articles. Both frame the issue as an ongoing moderation and enforcement challenge on the platform.
