Liverpool enter Saturday’s Premier League match at Brentford with Dominik Szoboszlai still an injury doubt, after the midfielder’s hamstring problem keeps him out of recent games. He started Liverpool’s first five league matches, then misses the 3-0 loss to Manchester City on Sunday and also sits out Liverpool’s midweek Champions League win over LASK.
Andoni Iraola also faces uncertainty over other key attackers. Cody Gakpo and Alexander Isak are listed as missing along with Szoboszlai, with Iraola saying it is still “early” and that recovery depends on how they respond during training. The Athletic and Metro report the trio have missed the two most recent fixtures since the international break, while Iraola leaves open the possibility that any could return in time.
Beyond the doubtful players, Liverpool must also manage suspension and squad rotation. Ryan Gravenberch is unavailable after a sending off against City, and Iraola signals further changes are likely because of a busy schedule, with another match coming just three days later. Separately, Giovanni Leoni’s return is also being managed cautiously after an ACL injury.
