Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V is scheduled to be removed from PlayStation Plus shortly before GTA VI’s launch. Multiple users report receiving notices indicating that GTA 5 will leave the Extra and Premium tiers on November 17, two days before GTA 6 releases on November 19.

The notifications also reportedly include links that direct subscribers to the GTA 6 preorder page. Metro frames the timing as a way to encourage players to move to the sequel, while GameSpot notes the notice suggests a deliberate migration around the new release. Across other subscription services, GTA 5 has rotated in and out of Xbox Game Pass over time, and it is not currently available there, according to GameSpot. The outlets do not present any official confirmation from Sony beyond what users see in the messages.
