Zendaya is set to star in an untitled science-fiction feature written and directed by Alex Garland for A24. Multiple outlets report that the project’s cast beyond Zendaya has not been announced and that plot details are being kept under wraps.
The news follows Zendaya’s recent and upcoming science-fiction work, including the Dune franchise, with one outlet noting Dune: Part Three is expected later this year. Reporting also places Garland as a frequent A24 collaborator, citing earlier Garland-directed films for the studio and his work on other projects. Variety adds that the feature is expected to begin production in 2027, while other coverage focuses on the announcement and creative partnership rather than timing. Across sources, the consistent points are the involvement of Zendaya, Garland’s writing and directing, and A24’s production, with limited information available so far on story and supporting cast.
