Jio Financial Services reports a 51% year-on-year decline in its second-quarter consolidated net profit to ₹340.4 crore (₹340.44 crore), for the September quarter of FY27. Shares also move slightly higher after the results, according to one outlet.

The decline is attributed across reports to rising costs during the quarter. While total income increases sharply—around 70% to about ₹1,699 crore—total expenses more than double to roughly ₹1,166 crore, eroding profitability. One report also highlights a large jump in interest income, which rises substantially year-on-year.

The coverage aligns on the same headline figures for profit, the direction of year-on-year changes, and the explanation centered on higher expenses, with outlets differing mainly in how much they emphasize specific line items such as total income and interest income.
