Ukraine has unveiled a medical evacuation drone, dubbed StarGate, designed to transport wounded soldiers quickly from the battlefield. Footage from a field demonstration shows the drone taking off and landing with a person inside an enclosed cabin.

The drone, developed by Ukrainian company SkyFall, is demonstrated using a stretcher setup during reported tests, reflecting a scenario where injured troops may be left without timely evacuation due to enemy drones and artillery. Multiple outlets report that the Associated Press was granted exclusive access to the demonstration.

After the trial, StarGate is handed over for evaluation under front-line conditions. The focus across the different accounts is on reducing the time and personnel needed for casualty evacuation by using an autonomous or remote aerial system, while still assessing performance and practicality in active combat environments.
