Arsenal says it will take a new squad photograph after William Saliba was not included in this week’s official team picture. Multiple outlets report Mikel Arteta confirming the club plans to redo the photo to ensure Saliba appears.

Arteta also addresses why Saliba was missing from the first shoot, including that Arsenal had previously cited a “medical appointment” for the defender’s absence. The manager adds that Saliba does not have an issue with being left out and that the squad photo went ahead without him. Reports also indicate the situation relates to Saliba being unavailable at the time, with later descriptions framing him as injured. The outlets broadly agree on the retake plan, while focusing on different details of the explanation and Saliba’s reaction.
