Five members of a family, including three children, are found dead inside their home in Nagla Shri Padam village in Rabupura, Greater Noida, on Saturday morning, October 17. Police say the family ate noodles the previous night before going to sleep, and investigators also reference tea and noodles as the last meal. The victims are identified as Mahesh and his wife Lalita, along with their three children: Laddu, Mishti (spelled Mishti/Misti in reports), and Sakshi/Sakshat.
Authorities initially suspect food poisoning, but the cause of death is not yet confirmed. The Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissionerate says local police, senior officials, an ambulance, and the Food Safety Department reach the scene after receiving information from the Rabupura police station. Forensic teams inspect the house and collect samples, while post-mortem examinations are carried out and laboratory analysis is awaited to determine what led to the deaths. Further action depends on medical findings and scientific reports. One outlet also reports a local BJP MLA says the Chief Minister’s Office was informed and officials were present at the site.
