Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker, executive producers and co-showrunners of ABC’s comedy series “Abbott Elementary,” sign with UTA for representation in all areas, according to both outlets. The pair continue to be represented by Adventure Media and Allison Binder at Goodman Genow Schenkman. Halpern and Schumacker also operate under their production company, Delicious Non-Sequitur. They are currently under an overall deal with Warner Bros. Television. Deadline also notes that, alongside series creator and star Quinta Brunson, they have earned four consecutive group Emmy nominations for Outstanding Comedy Series. Both sources frame the move as a change in professional representation while their roles on “Abbott Elementary” and their existing production arrangement with Warner Bros. Television remain in place.
