Tesla has started taking reservations for its upcoming “flying” Roadster in India. Multiple outlets report that Tesla’s India website shows the Thrust configuration at about ₹2.50 crore, with reservations structured as deposits rather than final, announced ex-showroom prices. Tesla has not publicly confirmed an India delivery schedule.

Sources describe a two-step booking process. Buyers must first pay ₹5.01 lakh, followed by a second instalment due within 10 days; if the second payment is not made, the reservation can be cancelled. Tesla states the initial deposit is fully refundable. Availability and what specifications are offered are also subject to local laws and regulations.

Outlets also note that Tesla lists production for the Roadster beginning in 2028, with left-hand-drive vehicles only, with no timeline provided for right-hand-drive versions. Tesla’s India page further points to multiple Roadster variants, including Performance and Thrust, while an additional Rocket option is described as invite-only. Tesla also announced a free Acceleration Boost upgrade for the Model Y L.
