According to the report, 21 of the 36 regional parties spend more than they earn. Despite the overall decline, a small number of parties account for a large share of both income and spending. The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) declares the highest income among regional parties at ₹228.31 crore, which the report says is 19.14% of the total. Other top income contributors include the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC/TMC) and the YSR Congress, which are described as close behind TDP. The findings are based on ADR’s analysis of financial disclosures for 2024-25.
