African Democratic Congress (ADC) chairmen demand the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) remove Senator David Mark and members of his dissolved Interim National Working Committee from INEC’s portal, warning of a nationwide protest if the decision is not implemented.
According to the reports, the chairmen also call for INEC to replace Mark and related names with officials they say are legally recognised, including Nafiu Bala Gombe. The outlets describe the dispute as a response to an alleged court judgement involving the party’s status and the correct individuals to be listed.
While all accounts centre on the same threat and demands, they differ slightly in emphasis. Vanguard foregrounds the replacement of names on the portal, while other coverage focuses more directly on the demand for Mark’s removal and the threat of protests if INEC does not comply.
