US says it is ‘more than capable’ of resuming war on Iran The United States has warned it is “more than capable” of resuming its war on Iran as President Donald Trump considers a proposed peace agreement that officials say must meet Washington’s “red lines”. According to AFP, unnamed US sources said a deal is awaiting Trump's approval following a White House Situation Room meeting, but no final decision was made. Speaking at the Shangri-La Dialogue, US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth said Washington is “more than capable” of restarting the war if necessary and that “our stockpiles are more than suited for that”. Meanwhile, the United States Central Command (Centcom) said American forces “remain present and vigilant across the region”.

Hegseth: US is ‘more than capable’ of resuming war with Iran Speaking at the Shangri-La Dialogue, US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said the United States has sufficient weapons stockpiles and remains ready to resume military operations against Iran if required. “Our ability to recommence if necessary is [that] we are more than capable; our stockpiles are more than suited for that, both there and around the globe, because of how we balance exquisite and more plentiful munitions,” Hegseth said, according to AFP.
