CUET-UG 2026 delayed at some centres after technical glitch; timings revised

TCS CEO K Krithivasan says a brief technical glitch delayed CUET UG exams by about two hours, NTA rescheduled sessions and gave compensatory time to avoid candidate disadvantage.

The statements come after candidates at several examination centres reported disruptions during the morning shift of the entrance test

The issue has since been resolved and the examination is being conducted with full compensatory time so that no candidate is disadvantaged, NTA said.

Candidates for the afternoon session can enter centres from 2:30 pm, with the exam now scheduled to begin at 4 pm instead of 3 pm.

The CUET-UG 2026 for admissions into undergraduate degree programmes across India was delayed at some centres on Saturday due to a technical glitch, the National Testing Agency said.
