A 66-year-old woman is killed in Atlanta after being stabbed aboard an Atlanta MARTA train in what transit and law-enforcement officials describe as a random attack. Multiple outlets report that the incident occurred on Saturday morning while the train was traveling toward Oakland City Station. Video and witness accounts are cited as showing the suspect approaching the victim after boarding, lingering nearby, and then pulling out a knife. The victim is described as crying out and trying to get away as the attacker allegedly restrains her and repeatedly stabs her, with reports estimating about 18 to 20 stab wounds.
