STMicroelectronics raises its outlook for revenue from its data-centre customer base, nearly doubling its previous estimate. In an update on Monday, the Franco-Italian chipmaker says it now expects about $1 billion in data-centre revenue in 2026. Previously, it guided for “nicely above $500 million,” indicating an upward revision of roughly $500 million.

Both reports link the change to sustained demand for artificial-intelligence infrastructure. STMicroelectronics attributes the forecast increase to continued customer demand and progress in ramping up capacity, which it says is faster than expected. The company’s statement frames the higher figure as reflecting improving momentum in how quickly it can supply products used in data-centre systems supporting AI workloads.

The revised forecast is presented as a guidance update for the 2026 period rather than a finalized result, and it reflects management expectations for revenue tied specifically to data-centre end markets.
