Multiple outlets report new alleged battery-capacity figures for Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 Pro, attributed to the Weibo leaker Digital Chat Station. The claims suggest Apple tests different battery sizes depending on the device’s regional variant, similar to what was reported for the iPhone 17 Pro.
For the iPhone 18 Pro, the China model with a physical SIM tray is said to have a battery capacity of about 4,056 mAh. The U.S. model, described as eSIM-only and therefore without a SIM tray, is said to have about 4,288 mAh. The reports further provide comparison points to iPhone 17 Pro capacities: roughly 3,988 mAh for China and about 4,252 mAh for the U.S., implying gains of about 68 mAh (China) and about 36 mAh (U.S.).
The sources note that these numbers are unconfirmed and could come from regulatory databases or from device sample/supply-chain information. They also caution that battery capacity increases do not automatically translate to proportional battery-life improvements, since chip and modem changes could affect power efficiency.
