Singapore is progressing toward its goal of having 60,000 electric vehicle (EV) charging points by 2030, with about 30,500 chargers currently available. Singapore’s deployment plan is being adjusted to better serve new Build-To-Order (BTO) housing projects. The government also sets location-based targets: by end-2027, there is to be at least one fast charging hub in every HDB town. Senior Minister of State for Transport Sun Xueling says these measures support broader access to faster charging as EV adoption grows. The updates indicate that charger expansion is not only increasing overall capacity, but also refining where charging infrastructure is placed, including areas linked to upcoming residential developments. While the overall 2030 target remains central, the near-term milestones—particularly the fast-hub coverage across HDB towns by 2027—are used to track implementation progress.
